BIO

Alex Galea is a dynamic business leader with a background in engineering and broad experience across HR strategy, leadership development and business advisory.

After earning his BSc in Engineering, Alex began his career as an R&D Engineer in a tech manufacturing company before moving into international business development, leading Sales & Marketing efforts across Asia for a European engineering firm.

His career then took him into talent management and organisational development, including a role as Group Director of HR for a multinational organisation with over 7,000 employees across 8 countries. In this role, he led HR transformation projects, developed leadership frameworks, and drove performance and engagement strategies at scale.

In 2008, Alex joined Mdina Partners, part of the Business Leaders Malta ecosystem, where he is now a joint partner and CEO. He works closely with Maltese and international organisations on leadership development, HR advisory, and culture change, helping companies translate strategy into behaviour.

When he’s not working, Alex is a husband and father of three. He’s passionate about trekking and the outdoors, and recently fulfilled his childhood dream of hiking to the Everest Base Camp.
