Pamela Mamo is the Senior Manager within PwC’s Academy Malta (licensed as a further and higher education institution) responsible for the overall management of the Academy, its business and strategy.

She first joined the firm in 2004 as an audit associate and in 2007 moved into an internal role to assist in setting up the Human Capital function of PwC. During this period, Pamela provided guidance and assistance in the design and development of many of PwC’s current HC structures including recruitment and student programmes, performance coaching and development, retention and learning and education. During her last year within the Human Capital team, she was actively involved in conveying the talent management case at PwC.

Over the years Pamela has gained experience, particularly in business analysis and ensuring the business vision and strategy are seen through the many new projects and change processes she personally managed.

Since 2013, Pamela took over the responsibility for the business development aspect of PwC’s Academy. She has a key role in designing training curricula and scoping of courses, designing niche training products in line with Malta’s skills gaps, meeting clients to analyse their training needs and assisting them in translating their needs into effective training programmes. She leads a team of ten people at PwC’s Hub, dedicated training premises she has put her heart and soul in.

She has over the years established the Academy as a leading training service provider in line with the national quality education standards and line with digital education requirements for the 21st century. Pamela holds a teacher’s warrant and is one of the firm’s business skills trainers and has developed and delivered several training programmes to PwC’s managerial team and PwC’s Academy external clients in the areas of talent management, leadership and management skills, coaching, staff development, client relationships.

In the past year, Pamela has been leading the Firm’s Upskilling initiative – New World New Skills, as a call for action on a more national level.

Nicholas Schembri has over 15 years of experience within HR Management. His career expands over several industries including; Manufacturing, Gaming, Contact Centres, Oil and Gas, and Fintech. As Calamatta Cuschieri Finance Group Chief Human Resources Officer, Nicholas leads the company’s HR strategy at a time of growth and transformation. As the group amplifies its digital advantage and widens its international reach, his expertise has been instrumental in mapping organizational capabilities and enabling employees to feel challenged and supported to be their very best. CC Finance Group is a leading diversified financial services group, currently employing 200 people located in 17 different countries. The Group is considered a Fintech and an innovator in the B2C areas it operates.

Focused on leveraging innovative human strategies to influence business strategy, empower leaders, embrace change and deliver business results. He is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion and brings deep expertise in talent management, succession, compensation, labour/union negotiations, and creating high-performing teams that drive extraordinary results.

Nicholas graduated in Management from the University of Malta and earned his MBA from the University of Leicester with a specialisation in Employee Relations.

Annika Galea is currently Human Resources Director for Hilton Malta, responsible for the Talent function of the Malta property as well as being involved in Hilton EMEA regional projects and initiatives. Having previously worked also in HR within various companies in the IT sector, Annika has been working in the Human Resources field for 21 years.

On a personal level, Annika has two young Boys, Benji and Nicky and enjoys boating and anything related to the sea.

Kevin Paris

Kevin Paris is the CEO and Managing Director of FTIAS Limited, a Maltese registered company specialising in accounting and back-office operations that form part of the multi-national FTI Group. Kevin is an MBA Graduate from Henley Business School and is passionate about all racket sports, tennis in particular.

Nick Spiteri Paris is the Chief Executive Officer at Bigbon Group, franchisor operator for Inditex Group [Industria de Diseño Textil, S.A.] in Malta. Nick leads a team of more than 100 strong employees, 5 Brands; Bershka, Pull&Bear, Stradivarius, Oysho, Massimo Dutti.

Charged with driving results, Nick’s role includes leadership of retail operations, people management, product management, logistics and eCommerce management.

A passionate advocate for omni-channel retailing, Nick has piloted several initiatives driving Bigbon Group towards a fully-integrated approach to commerce that provides shoppers with a unified experience across online and offline channels.

With over 15 years experience in the fashion retail market, Nick has worked with and introduced leading apparel brands to the Maltese market. Nick is an articulate communicator, with a track record for finding innovative ways to grow revenue and increase margins. A strong supporter of change management and with a vision to create the company’s workforce of the future, Nick is a strong believer in human capital and talent development.
